Our plans start at 2 GB, which suits a small co-op group on a new world. Consider going higher if you play with a full group, or once a world has been dug out and built up over many months - explored map area is what tends to grow, not the player count. Moving up a plan later does not affect your world.
When one player hosts from their game, the world only exists while that person is online - everyone else waits. A dedicated server is up 24/7, so anyone in the group can mine, farm or fight a boss whenever they have half an hour free. You also get a file manager, live console, manual backups and scheduled restarts in the panel.
Save files can be uploaded through the file manager or over FTP, so moving a world across is usually possible - but the exact folder layout has changed with game updates, so check the current save location before you copy anything. Always keep your local copy untouched until the server has loaded the world successfully. Take a manual backup in the panel once it is running.
Core Keeper modding is a community effort rather than an official system, so what is available depends on the tools people are maintaining at the time. You have full file access, so anything that installs as files on the server side can be put in place through the file manager or FTP. Expect that players will need to match whatever you install, and that game updates can break mods until they are updated.
We do not put an artificial cap on slots. Core Keeper is built around small co-op groups and applies its own limits, so that is the number you will run into first rather than anything on our side. Beyond that, your plan's RAM and CPU are the practical ceiling.
Every plan includes a free *.gmhst.com address you can hand out, and you can point your own domain at the server instead if you prefer something memorable. Players use that address to connect directly - no invite juggling, and it stays the same even if you upgrade your plan.
You choose your location when ordering: Falkenstein (Germany), Warsaw (Poland), London (UK) or Gravelines (France). Pick the one closest to you - the shorter the distance, the lower your ping.
Yes, and it costs nothing extra. Game Swaps are included in every plan: turn the same server into another supported game in one click, and each game keeps its own saved preset so nothing is lost when you swap back. Heavier games need more memory, so which titles you can run depends on the plan you pick - hover the info icon next to Game Swaps on any plan above to see how many that plan can run.
