Terraria is one of the lighter games we host, and our plans start at 2 GB - comfortable for a handful of friends on a fresh world. Go higher if you are running a large world, a bigger group, or a modded setup, since tModLoader packs add up quickly. Worlds that have been played for months also tend to grow heavier over time. You can move up a plan later without starting a new world.
Terraria modding goes through tModLoader, which is a separate server build rather than something you bolt onto vanilla. Decide before you generate a world, because vanilla and modded worlds are not interchangeable. Mod files themselves are just uploaded through the file manager or FTP.
Yes. Your local world file lives in the Terraria folder in your documents, and you upload it to the server through the file manager or over FTP, then point the server config at it. Take a copy of the original before you start, and use the panel's manual backups once it is running so you always have a restore point.
Yes - everyone joining a modded server needs tModLoader and the same mod list, at matching versions. It is worth agreeing on the list up front and keeping it stable, because updating one mod usually means everyone updates. On a vanilla server, players just need the same game version.
We do not impose an artificial cap - the maximum player count is a setting in the Terraria config that you control. What actually limits you is your plan's RAM and CPU, plus whatever the game itself handles comfortably. Bigger groups on a large world benefit from a step up in plan.
Yes. World size, difficulty and the evil biome are chosen when the world is generated, and you set them yourself rather than asking us. Changing your mind later means generating a new world, so it is worth a moment's thought - and you can always keep the old world file as a backup.
You choose your location when ordering: Falkenstein (Germany), Warsaw (Poland), London (UK) or Gravelines (France). Pick the one closest to you - the shorter the distance, the lower your ping.
Yes, and it costs nothing extra. Game Swaps are included in every plan: turn the same server into another supported game in one click, and each game keeps its own saved preset so nothing is lost when you swap back. Heavier games need more memory, so which titles you can run depends on the plan you pick - hover the info icon next to Game Swaps on any plan above to see how many that plan can run.
