Satisfactory is one of the heavier games we host, because the server has to simulate every belt, machine and train on the map, which is why plans for it start at 6 GB (11.99 EUR/mo). That is a sensible starting point for a new save and a small group. A mega-factory that has been running for months, a larger crew or a modded setup will all want more headroom, and you can move up a plan later without rebuilding anything.
Yes - this is the usual way people start. Take the save file from your local game and put it on the server, either by uploading it from the in-game server manager or by dropping it in through our file manager or FTP, then load it as the active session. Your factory, milestones and research all carry over.
Many do, but not all - whether a mod supports dedicated servers is up to its author, so check the mod's page first. Where it is supported, you install the server-side files through the file manager or FTP and every player needs the same mods at the same versions. Back up your save before adding or removing mods on a factory you care about.
We do not impose an artificial slot cap. The practical limits are your plan's RAM and CPU and whatever the game itself allows, so if you are planning a bigger group it is worth starting a tier above the minimum. In this game the factory size tends to cost more performance than the extra players do.
Yes, and that is the main reason to rent one. The server is online 24/7 whether or not the owner is playing, so production keeps ticking and anyone can hop in whenever they like. No one has to leave a PC on or act as the host.
You claim the server in-game with an admin password on first connect, and everything else is in our panel: live console, file manager, FTP access and scheduled restarts. You can create a manual backup if your plan includes backup slots, which is worth doing before a big update or a risky rebuild. Automatic daily backups are available as a paid add-on if you would rather not think about it.
You choose your location when ordering: Falkenstein (Germany), Warsaw (Poland), London (UK) or Gravelines (France). Pick the one closest to you - the shorter the distance, the lower your ping.
Yes, and it costs nothing extra. Game Swaps are included in every plan: turn the same server into another supported game in one click, and each game keeps its own saved preset so nothing is lost when you swap back. Heavier games need more memory, so which titles you can run depends on the plan you pick - hover the info icon next to Game Swaps on any plan above to see how many that plan can run.
